Southern Cali Vacation
We just got home from our annual family vacation. This year we were blessed to spend the whole week in Newport Beach, California. Situated overlooking the beach, we had 24/7 views of the ocean. The kids had a blast, as did the adults with all sorts of activities. Here are some photos of our adventure.

Happy Birthday, Harps.

I never appreciated the advice to "cherish the moment" until I had children. It is amazing how fast they grow. With that in mind, Harper turned one. My wonderful sister-in-law took some great photos of Harper to capture the age. Other than the schreech that she often lets out when Luca messes with her, Harper is a very easy going child and continues to capture our hearts.

The Skinny
Luca: Continues to challenge me everyday with her unique sense of fashion. I have decided to give up the fight. After all, next year she is in a uniform. The first chance she gets she is hanging out with the neighbor kids riding bikes, playing in the sandbox, on her swing, and even pushing her stroller. Luca is looking forward to Easter with Grandma Chaput.
Harper: Ear infection number 6 = a visit with Dr. Crawford. We are anticipating that she will get tubes. This will be a blessing and hopefully end her misery. On a happier note, Harper has learned to crawl and thinks she is pretty funny when she stands up and shakes her little bottom. She has a tendency to say "Dada" much more often then "Mama," but there are no hard feelings. (Wink wink.)
Lauren: Union Pacific is in full recrutiment mode as we plan to hire 4,000 trainmen in our first quarter. Translation, late nights, long days, and work from home. I am looking forward to getting out of the house as the weather starts to warm up.
Justin: Although he did not get into the Lincoln Marathon because they capped their number of entrants, he continues to run and hopes to be able to head to Des Moines for another 1/2.
And that's about it folks.
