The Skinny
Luca: Continues to challenge me everyday with her unique sense of fashion. I have decided to give up the fight. After all, next year she is in a uniform. The first chance she gets she is hanging out with the neighbor kids riding bikes, playing in the sandbox, on her swing, and even pushing her stroller. Luca is looking forward to Easter with Grandma Chaput.
Harper: Ear infection number 6 = a visit with Dr. Crawford. We are anticipating that she will get tubes. This will be a blessing and hopefully end her misery. On a happier note, Harper has learned to crawl and thinks she is pretty funny when she stands up and shakes her little bottom. She has a tendency to say "Dada" much more often then "Mama," but there are no hard feelings. (Wink wink.)
Lauren: Union Pacific is in full recrutiment mode as we plan to hire 4,000 trainmen in our first quarter. Translation, late nights, long days, and work from home. I am looking forward to getting out of the house as the weather starts to warm up.
Justin: Although he did not get into the Lincoln Marathon because they capped their number of entrants, he continues to run and hopes to be able to head to Des Moines for another 1/2.
And that's about it folks.

Cruising
Harper did it-learned to crawl, that is. She was in her new room with the giants for about 3 days and managed to pick it up like that. She is still a little slow so I'm able to chase her, but I'm sure that too will be short lived. Harps has been battling illness with ear infections and upper airway inflammation. It will be nice to see if she can be without antibiotics, she's been on them for almost 3 weeks now. We will be happy to see the spring for this and many other reasons.
Luca has not been up to much different these days. She is still the queen of fashion and insists on skirts and tights everyday. I cannot wait for uniforms!

Overdue Update
Without realizing it, I see that it's been a bit since we last posted. I wish I could say that we have been enjoying the warm sun, but that's hardly the case. With the harsh winter winds, it's been proving to be a challenging month. At the end of this week, however, we were blessed with a warm front. Luca took this as a chance to go sledding before the snow melted. Grandma Bond even took Harper out for a few minutes to enjoy the weather.
Earlier this week we got to spend time with the Martin family. Luca was obsessed with Scarlet, as the pictures prove. We enjoyed their company very much and vowed to do it more often.
As for Justin and I, we got out this past weekend and went to see Mary Poppins at the Orpheum. Justin said I looked like a little kid that just hit the candy jackpot. I was very entertained and impressed, what an incredible show. Justin, who is a harsh critic, even enjoyed the performance. When Luca is a bit older, this will be a must see.
Here's to an early spring. xoxoxox

Justin's sister, Jen, and I had every intention of doing a 6 month photo shoot with Harper, but time go away from us. On Sunday we attempted to get a few shots of Harps. Sadly, her ears were bothering her too much that she didn't want to show any smiles. We decided that we would try another day. As always, Jen did get a couple of cute ones of the girls. Luca decided she was not having her picture taken before we left the house and to prove it put on her beloved pajamas. In usual Luca style, she was a ham.
